A Stone's Throw

These are the images for my latest and now complete work, A Stone's Throw.  It is an exhibition  documenting some of the people who interact within a metaphorical stone's throw from the steps of the Town Hall in Manchester; hairdressers, city guides, picture framers, students.

I have spent time with each subject, finding out about them and why they interact with the city, photographing them as portrait studies and gathering images that put them into the context of their interaction.

The exhibition has now ended and in the three months to 17 July 2016, there were 56,545 visitors; it is a great gallery space.

If you want to see the exhibition in its virtual existence then please download the app : A Stone's Throw.  You will be able to see the images and hear short sound clips of the subjects' speaking.
